Our story

Tom and Denise Belvin embarked on their Frameworks journey in 1977. Initially using a warehouse space on Spurling Hill and then moving to Reid St. in Hamilton. Denise's brother John Hill, who to this day is still a professional picture framer in the UK, moved to Bermuda for three years to help set up and train staff for the business. In 1982 Frameworks moved to the Paget Plaza and Les Chuck took over the running of the business until he left Bermuda in 1992. At that time Frameworks purchased Bermuda Art and Frame and in addition to the Paget shop, they took over their gallery in Washington Lane, Hamilton. There for ten years they then moved to Gorham Road. Sadly in 2010 Tom passed away and that, combined with a down turn in the economy, helped Frameworks to make the decision to close the Hamilton location and operate solely from the Paget shop.

In 2020, Denise and Tom's daughter Keely and her husband Justin Horsfall took over the business and moved it, along with a brand new photo printing lab, to Ashley House on Mill Creek Lane. There now, Frameworks continues with its six employees who have a combined total of 100 years worth of experience, knowledge and dedication. Sameehah, Laneh and Thomas are the company's expert and invaluable framers. Linda and Denise and Tom's other daughter Paige handle the retail and design while Linda also runs the photo printing lab. Justin and Keely together take care of the day to day running of the business while Justin also continues to ply his trade as a tree surgeon (click on the Justrees tab to learn more!). Denise is still available by appointment.
